Our obsession with old, road trip america never fades.. You know the time, when the american dream was being formulated, the notion of open roads, simple living and kitsch design resonate not only with us but also with Larry Niehus as documented in his recent photography.
Niehues pictures are like immersing into a movie. For the great colours . The exciting scenes. And the incredible characteristics of those people telling the stories. It´s bout tales of America and its inhabitants. Observed by French born but L.A. based photographer Larry Niehues who from time to time heads off for a road trip all around California, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico to capture a slowly fading old world. He says;
“I always see details that remind me of old America. This is the America that Ive heard about in family stories, the america that I’ve seen in photographs and movies, read about in books, listening to in music. A lot of people forget this era because it remnants are becoming lest visible but I’ve made it my job to seek them out”
